SONS OF SUNS
This hand illustration, Ancient(古代) Sons of Suns, dives into one of the oldest civilizations on Earth: the Sumerian civilization. Known for creating the first recognized belief system and developing cuneiform, the earliest writing system, the Sumerians were among the first to gaze upon the Sun as a life-giver and cosmic ruler, forming a bridge between humanity and the divine. They established organized government structures and city-states under the watchful eyes of deities, whose power was often equated with the Sun’s strength and light.
As the Anunnaki—a pantheon that included celestial powers governing life and death—looked down upon Sumer, they represented humanity’s earliest inquiries into the mysteries of creation. The Sun god Utu, in particular, was seen as the bringer of justice and illumination, shedding light upon both the physical and spiritual realms. Today, we continue to question our origins, the celestial realms, and the spiritual beliefs that have shaped our existence.
I invite you to explore these timeless curiosities within this visualization, where the light of the ancient Sun gods meets the divine, uncovering the mysteries of who we are and where we come from.
